December 14, 2006: Automatic
Configuration of LAN Devices - Global IP Telecommunications Develops
Novel Technology that Enables Users of All Levels to Maintain Local
Area Networks
BRADFORD, PA. and SCHOEFFENGRUND, Germany,
Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- IPCOMSOFT announces the development of their
revolutionary software: LANBOT. This new technology enables users of
all levels to maintain Local Area Networks (LAN) through automatic
discovery and configuration of all devices. Specifically, LANBOT
paves the way for the further spread of broadband Internet access,
WLAN and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology.
The new
development renders fully automatic management of all devices in a
LAN possible. Internet Service Providers and Original Equipment
Manufacturers will be able to deliver products that configure
themselves automatically. "It is exciting to work on a solution that
removes the greatest barrier for growth of Internet technologies,
into our homes and everyday lives," says C. B. Roellgen, CTO of
IPCOMSOFT. He further points out, "Feedback from ISPs fully confirm
our findings and their input has been very helpful!"
Automatic configuration of network devices like computers, routers,
access points, Pocket PCs in a LAN requires interdependent
computation of settings. This complex task can only be solved by a
flexible and fully open object model that allows partners to modify
and add device definitions.
IPCOMSOFTis currently searching for affiliates and partners to
assist in the next phase of the LANBOT development. This phase
consists of extending the automatic configuration capabilities to
include sub-functions, which have thus far not been the object of
focus.
